🏌️‍♂️ Terms & Conditions – The Cardiff Bay £10,000 Hole-In-One Challenge

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Cardiff Bay £10,000 Hole-In-One Challenge (the “Challenge”), operated by City Links Golf Ltd (“City Links,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
 By entering and participating, you (“Participant,” “you”) accept and agree to abide by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

1.1 The Challenge is open to amateur golfers only.
 1.2 Individuals who are or have previously been classified as professional golfers are not eligible to participate or claim the prize.
 1.3 Participants must be 14 years of age or older at the time of entry.
 1.4 Participants under the age of 16 may participate; however, their name, image, and likeness will only be publicised with written parental or guardian consent.
 1.5 Participants must register online prior to participating in the Challenge.
 1.6 By registering, participants aged 16 and over consent to being photographed, filmed, and recorded, and grant City Links the right to use their name, image, likeness, and recordings for promotional and marketing purposes without additional permission or compensation.
 1.7 Employees, agents, and affiliates of City Links Golf Ltd, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to win.

2. Entry Conditions

2.1 Participants must purchase an entry package (e.g., Quick Shot, Power Play, Hot Streak, Legend Pack) to participate.
 2.2 Only those who have purchased balls are eligible to attempt to win prizes.
 2.3 No refunds will be issued after purchase unless the Challenge is cancelled by City Links.

3. Challenge Rules

3.1 All shots must be played from the designated hitting area as set by City Links staff.

3.2 To win a prize (whether the £10,000 prize or a sponsor hole prize at a white or blue flag), the ball must:
  • Land directly into the designated hole cup; and
  • Remain within the cup without bouncing out.

3.3 A ball that bounces out, rims, or otherwise does not stay in the cup will not qualify for any prize.

3.4 Only one £10,000 prize winner will be awarded per Challenge session. Once the £10,000 prize has been awarded, the Challenge resets for future participants.

4. Prize and Payment

4.1 The prize for successfully achieving a valid hole-in-one at the designated red flag hole as per these Terms is £10,000.

4.2 In addition to the £10,000 prize, participants may attempt shots toward designated sponsor holes marked with white and blue flags.

4.3 Prizes associated with sponsor holes are provided by third-party sponsors and may include, but are not limited to, goods, services, vouchers, or experiences.

4.4 Sponsor prizes are subject to availability and may vary without prior notice.

4.5 City Links accepts no responsibility for sponsor prize fulfilment or quality and is not liable for any disputes arising from sponsor-provided prizes.

4.6 The £10,000 prize will be paid as a lump sum by bank transfer to the confirmed winner within 14 days following successful verification.

4.7 No alternative prizes, cash equivalents, or substitutions will be offered for the £10,000 prize unless expressly stated.

4.8 Winners are responsible for any taxes or declarations associated with their prize, whether relating to the £10,000 prize or any sponsor-provided prize.

5. Verification and Adjudication

5.1 All potential winning shots are subject to video review and official verification by City Links.
 5.2 No prize will be awarded until the winning shot has been successfully verified.
 5.3 City Links’ decision regarding any and all aspects of the Challenge is final and binding.

6. Disqualification

6.1 City Links reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:
  • Tampers with the Challenge setup or entry process;
  • Acts in an unsporting, disruptive, or dangerous manner; or
  • Breaches these Terms in any way.
 6.2 In the event of disqualification, no refunds will be issued, and participants will forfeit any prize entitlement.

7. Publicity and Data Protection

7.1 By participating, entrants aged 16 and over agree to allow City Links to use their name, image, video footage, and likeness for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or permission.
 7.2 If you are under 16, your name, image, and likeness will only be publicised with written parental or guardian consent.
 7.3 All personal information collected during registration will be processed in accordance with UK data protection laws.

8. Health & Safety

8.1 Participants acknowledge that golf is a physical sport involving a degree of risk.
 8.2 All participants engage in the Challenge at their own risk and are responsible for conducting themselves in a safe and appropriate manner.
 8.3 City Links is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation, except in cases of negligence or breach of statutory duty.

9. Force Majeure

9.1 City Links reserves the right to postpone, suspend, or cancel the Challenge due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (“Force Majeure Events”) including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, acts of terrorism, technical failures, or government restrictions.
 9.2 In the event of cancellation, participants will be offered a refund or an alternative entry opportunity.

10. Governing Law

10.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
 10.2 Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
